Ross Taylor

 

Ross Taylor is a specialist waterproofing consultant with over 40 years experience in the design of waterproofing detailing, diagnosis and rectification of water penetration issues in new and existing buildings. Ross provides strategic advice and collaborative defect resolution to building owners, managers, architects, contractors and lawyers.

  • Housing New South Wales - Technical Advisor to Directors of New South Wales Government housing program of 10,000 dwellings. Provided design review, waterproofing audit and training of architects and builders.

  • Health Infrastructure New South Wales - Technical advisor to Directors for waterproofing defect prevention in all new hospitals designed in NSW. Projects costing from $28 million to $110 million.

  • Metropolitan Apartments, Canberra - Analysis of 300 units with major water penetration issues.

  • Landmark Apartments, Barton ACT - Analysis of major water penetration and façade issues. Liaison with builder and owners to affect $13 million of repairs to 330 units.

  • Paddington Green, Sydney - Review of facade and waterproofing issues and project management of CTTT mediation (60 units).

  • Lane Cove North Estate, Sydney - Advice to Executive Committee on major maintenance program for building, facade repaints and repairs (280 units). Services included strategic advice, forensic technical analysis, negotiation with builder, and writing of scope of works, advice re: appointment of Project Manager.

  • Queen Victoria Building Refurbishment, Sydney - Technical Advisor to the owner of Ipoh Pty Ltd on painting and tiling quality issues in the refurbishment of the building interio

  • The Office of Fair Trading - Advisor to the Manager of Insurance services on major building defect claim

  • Central Law Courts, Perth - Advice to Project Management team on materials selection and methodology for extensive waterproofing and façade membrane application to exterior of this major courts complex.

  • Manly National Building, Sydney - Strategic advice to Owners Corporation re water penetration issues, façade repair and recoating culminating in letting of contract for $1.5 m of façade concrete repair and membrane coating.
